Accompanying teachers:	1 teacher per 10 students comes free (paying only for their transport to England)
Course content:	Emphasis on improving the students’ listening, understanding and spoken English. Lots of fun – games, music, quizzes, videos.
Tuition:	Course director + support tutors (minimum 2 tutors per course) Specialist tutors who are experienced in teaching young learners.
Outdoor instructors:	Fully qualified and experienced staff who work with the students in small groups (usually 6).
Training location:	Adventure centre near Sheringham
Social programme:	Full programme of sports and social events available
Contact with native speakers:	The adventure centre is large enough for 70 people – most of whom are English school children, so there is the opportunity to have some joint activities. All Adventure centre staff are native English speakers
Accommodation:	At the adventure centre, in small dormitories (4 per room) segregated by gender.
Meals:	All meals included (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Insurance:	Fully comprehensive insurance is available on request.
Transfer:	Available from Norwich airport, bus or train station. Advice given on travel from London airports or others and is at student’s own cost.
Course cost:	As an illustration, a one-week course, including 15 hours’ English language tuition, all materials, afternoon outdoor activities, two evening activities, accommodation and all meals cost £365 per person (based on a group of 15 students).

Excellence in English recently organised a course for 25 Italian teenagers from a school in the north of Italy. The group was accompanied by three teachers from their school (who paid only for their travel). Divided into two groups for the morning English language tuition, the group focussed on improving their spoken English. Afternoons were spent with adventure centre staff, in groups of 6, and students enjoyed a range of activities – mountain biking, orienteering, climbing, archery, beach and woodland walks, and problem-solving games. They had lots of fun and fresh air and were able to explore the local area. Excursions were arranged at the week-end to places of interest in North Norfolk and the group ended the week with a 3-day trip to London (arranged at their own cost). Before leaving the adventure centre, this lively group cooked a delicious Italian meal and served it up to adventure centre and Excellence in English staff with great flare. They followed it with a marvellous talent show (organised entirely by themselves) where everybody made some contribution.
